Ecuador is a coffee producing country we’re exploring in more and more depth, and are impressed with it’s potential. There has been a steep decline in coffee production in the last few decades and focusing more on speciality grade coffee is a way for farmers to regenerate the industry and achieve better prices. While there are still a lot of improvements to be made we’re thrilled to be welcoming back the coffee from Amaluza. Consistently producing great quality coffee year on year, a sign that the work they are doing in pruning, applying nutrients to the soil and overhauling processing methods is resulting both in healthier trees and a better cup. A group of ten producers from the Amaluza Parroquia Espindola canton, contribute their smallholder lots to this excellent representation of what the future of Ecuadorian coffee can be.
