ORANGE/ TREACLE/ PRALINE
Another fruity coffee from our seasonal regular Bosques de San Francisco. Hailing from the Antigua region of Guatemala this lot shows a sweet, heavy, treacly body, accompanied by fresh oranges and nutty chocolate praline flavours. This will be a real crowd pleaser we're sure!

We have a special relationship with the family that runs this farm and travel to Guatemala every year to visit them and taste their coffee. The family’s great great grandfather Manuel Matheu was one of the first coffee farmers in Antigua, starting up production on the estate 148 years ago. After a trip to London to sell his coffee, he was commissioned by the President to show small farmers in the area how to grow beans on their land as well. This passion for coffee has been passed down six generations to current owner Francis Dalton who took over the farm from his mother Elisa, who ran it until she was 94 years old. His brother Bobby and sisters, Marjorie and Jean all help him run the larger farm, but Bosques de San Francisco is Francis’ personal plot.
