Daanisa from Ethiopia is back! Bang-on delicious with notes of blueberry and raspberry highlighted by its smooth honey texture, to us, Daanisa sums up happy days in a cup. Coming to us from the washing station some of you might remember as Dambi Uddo, it’s also known as Sookoo Coffee. Established in late 2018/early 2019, Sookoo Coffee is owned by brothers Assefa and Ture Waji. Focusing on naturally processed coffees dried in thin layers on raised beds at an elevation of 2173 masl for around 15-20 days, Assefa and Ture are famous for delivering some of the region’s most pristinely clean and vibrant naturals. Taking in cherry from surrounding kebeles, each lot takes the name of the kebele it’s from, in this case, Daanisa. Lip-smacking good, Daanisa shines like a ray of sunshine from the cup!
