When starting their farm El Altico, a piece of land perched at the top of a mountain with beautiful views, Cesar Vitovis and his wife Nubia Constanza set out to build solid foundations. Intent on producing quality coffee to earn enough money to offer a good life to their two children, they never cease to amaze. Focusing on speciality grade since 2015, they are continually building and improving their processing equipment and drying beds. With three hectares of Caturra, Colombia and a “touch” of Castillo, Cesar usually delivers his coffee to a local co-op. This year, however, their coffee was so good that their eight bag lot was kept separate and marketed on its own, as El Altico, offering them a better return on their investments and hard work. When Anette visited their home in October, it was evident that Cesar and Constanza feel incredibly proud that others believe in the culmination of their efforts as much as they do. In fact, we have the utmost confidence in their work, and the proof lies right there in the cup.
