El Meridiano AA - 1

We’ve been buying coffee from the producers behind El Meridiano, the Asociacion de Productores de Café Especial del Alto Saldana (ASOCEAS), for several years. The association is made up of many members, all of which grow and process their own coffee crops on small four to five-hectare farms. Each year, our selection (which we use in our Red Brick blend) is made up of several of these smaller lots blended together to create a balanced, uniform cup. On occasion, however, there will be one or more small lots per harvest that stand out with brighter, sweeter flavours than the others, and those lots get separated, designated as AA grade, and sold at a higher premium. This is one of those special selections and one we thought presented perfectly as a filter roast, we hope you enjoy!
