First up in our Mexican lineup this year is Familia Garcia from the Sierra Mazateca mountain range in Oaxaca. A washed process lot, if you enjoy a textural oomph to your brews, this coffee delivers just that alongside the region's distinctly, almost-natural-process fruit-forward profile.

ABOUT
If you have been following our Mexico showcase over the past few years, you might be aware that coffees from this region are often regarded as a labour of love, with small, low-yielding plots delivering stunning coffees but in tiny quantities, requiring a lot of time and dedication to build blends to make up marketable volumes. The result of our ongoing collaboration and pre-finance initiative with Red Beatle Coffee Lab, this blend sure is a treat!
After cupping lots and lots of samples, we brought together the harvests of 28 contributing smallholders to piece this larger lot, creating enough for everyone to revel in. In constructing this blend, our focus was on clean blueberry flavours, florals like violet and jasmine, and the "Maza-fruity" character we refer to when describing exceptionally produced coffees from the region. Ticking all the boxes on our wishlist, the words that come to mind are: perfectly punchy and plush. Delicious, full stop.
