La Cuesta - 1

A big favourite on our espresso list, it’s time to welcome back La Cuesta from the Tarrazú Valley of Costa Rica. A white honey processed lot, deliciously dense and dessert-like, cherry and almond float on chocolate waves of creamy goodness. Produced by Marco Tulio Naranjo, La Cuesta is located in Santa Cruz de León Cortés. When he bought his 4-hectare farm more than 10 years ago, Marco introduced coffee by planting Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra and Typica. With these varieties thriving in the Tarrazú Valley’s fertile volcanic soil and optimal coffee growing altitudes, Marco very quickly and successfully established La Cuesta within the speciality coffee sector. Highlighting the balance, complexity and everything we like about Costa Rican coffee, La Cuesta is a classic. Sweet, creamy and oh so moreish, what a way to start the day.
