This espresso is the collaborative effort of nine producers from the municipality of Rioblanco in south west Tolima. We're enjoying its smooth buttery mouthfeel coupled with the sweet tartness of lemon curd and nutty hints of hazelnut. Quite the combination!

Once again we’re very excited to share with you a coffee from the Las Brisas group in the south western part of Tolima. Las Brisas is a coffee representing the combined efforts of nine producers in the municipality of Rioblanco, who rather than selling their individual lots to local middlemen, combine their coffees to achieve economies of scale enough to benefit their competitiveness in an often volatile coffee market. Their farms average about 4 hectares each and are planted with Caturra, Bourbon and Typica trees, which are harvested twice per year during an Apr-Jun main crop, and a smaller Oct-Dec mitaca crop. In addition they will grow fruit, timber and shade trees such as plantains, chachafruto, guano and nogal. Managing their own wet milling and drying practices, they implement generations of knowledge to produce high quality fully washed coffees.
