To celebrate the importance of collaboration throughout our supply chain, we've had a wonderful time catching up and working with our industry friends, North Star Coffee Roasters and just had to offer Los Pinos as a stand-alone coffee! Delicious orange and pistachio notes with a sweet syrupy finish, this is the perfect morning cup.
The artwork we used on the label was painted by Maria Zoila Pineda for North Star Coffee Roasters as a thank you for their investment in her business. The region of La Palma is well known locally for bright and colourful murals which cover roadside buildings and Maria’s work takes inspiration from this whilst capturing the beauty of coffee farms.
Country EL SALVADOR
Producer ROBERTO LANDAVERDE
Altitude 1300-1550 MASL
As part of our Collaboration Project with North Star Coffee Roasters in Leeds, we were introduced to Roberto Landaverde from Chaltenango in El Salvador through our import partners Caravela. After growing commercial-grade coffee on his farm Los Pinos for some years, Roberto recently turned his attention to speciality grade coffee for a better income. With a focus on improving fertilisation processes and pest control, Roberto improved both the health of his trees and increased the quality of his coffee. In a position to invest a little more into his farm every year, the progress, growth, and incremental enhancement on the quality of Los Pinos is remarkable! Offering a balanced, smooth cup filled to the brim with notes of orange, pistachio and a syrupy texture, we can't wait to see what next season brings!
