A classic in our offering, Quebradón was one of the first Colombian coffees we ever bought. A textural delight, this year’s lot offers notes of syrupy blackcurrant and red grape. Pleasantly bright and silky ending in a lingering sweetness, Quebradón offers friendly familiarity and inspires admiration. An excellent reference to coffee from Huila, Quebradón is produced in the municipality of Palestina. With 120 growers producing coffee under the Quebradón label, it’s named after the original Hacienda established in 1860 - since split up and sold off to settlers and present growers in the region. Focusing on quality, the farmers strive towards eradicating possible defects from tree-level onwards with the depth, structure and sweetness attributed to the exceptional processing of ripe cherry only. Always standout and always delicious, Quebradón is on our all-time favourite list, for being that all-day, everyday kind of cup you can never get enough of.
