GLACÉ CHERRY/ PRALINE/ WALNUT

While we have the naturally processed Recreio as an espresso, this lot is pulped natural process giving a delish filter brew. Chewy glacé cherry notes dominate, with layers of sweet praline and a walnut finish making this an interesting cup to sit back and savour.

One of our favourite Brazilian coffee producers, we’ve been visiting Diogo and buying his delicious coffees since 2015. Diogo owns and operates Fazenda Recreio, a multi-award winning farm just outside São Sebastião da Grama in the coffee producing paradise of Vale da Grama. Being an agricultural engineer, he combines his formal training with the experience of having grown up in a coffee producing family to manage his 230 hectares of coffee. As a UTZ-certified farm, the family’s concern for both the human and environmental elements of coffee production is evident throughout, with much of the land reserved for the protection of the natural flora, fauna and water sources. The 45 full-time employees and 100 part-time harvest farmhands also all have access to the health, educational and recreational facilities at the Fazenda. We have a naturally processed Yellow Catuai as well as a pulped natural Yellow Bourbon from Diogo this year, and to showcase the unique elements of both, the former will be presented as an espresso and the latter, as a filter style brew.
