Rotutu - 1

We are, quite frankly, over the moon with this new release. Introducing Rotutu from East Timor, a first-time purchase and new Square Mile origin, we're making history! After many seasons of being on the look-out and regularly cupping coffees from East Timor, we finally found our match. The Rotutu Farmer Group. After gaining independence in 2002, East Timor became the first new nation of the 21st century and has since worked hard to rebuild its 200-year-old coffee legacy with coffee being it's biggest agricultural export. Consisting of 24 members from the highland district of Ermera, the group has a strong sense of community. Led by Francisco de Deus, the Rotutu group believe that by working together, they can ensure the consistent quality of their produce. Bright and juicy with clear citrus notes carried on a lush, velvety background ending in a butterscotch sweetness, Rotutu simply shines. Enjoy!
