Tasting Notes

MILK CHOC/ DRIED CHERRY/ HAZELNUT
This pulped natural treat from Edivalo Fernandes Eler has a great syrupy mouthfeel with a creamy milk chocolate sweetness to it. Bright, high notes of dried cherries and comforting flavours of hazelnut, round it well and make this a very approachable coffee.

Sitio Tira o Zoio - 1

Sitio Tira o Zoio is a nine hectare farm located in the municipality of São José. It’s owned by Edivaldo Fernandes Eler, and this is his story in his own words - “I was born in Rio de Janeiro, but my family moved to the city of Irupi when I was only four years old. My father found work on a coffee farm, and it was then that I was first introduced to coffee cultivation. I was always at my father’s side, seeking to learn. In my youth, I wanted independence so I bought a coffee processing machine and started providing services in the region. This work sharpened my desire to have my own fields, so in 2005 I sold the machine and bought my farm. It’s a very dynamic farm and I love the challenges it brings. I believe in diversity so in addition to coffee I grow grapes, passion fruit and guavas. Coffee is my main source of income however, and since 2011 I’ve been focusing on improving the quality of the coffee I produce.”
