Tasting Notes

PEAR/ HONEYCOMB/ APRICOT

When brewing our filter decaf, we recommend a similar grind size as when brewing your preferred filter coffee method. We recommend a ratio of 70g of coffee / 1L of water, for example 35g of coffee for 500g of water. Adjust to personal preference.

If brewing using a percolation method like V60, we recommend agitating during the bloom phase followed by a low agitation of the bed for the rest of the brew.

The Filter Decaf - 1

Continuing to highlight our longstanding Costa Rican partnerships and celebrate the Tarrazú region's exquisite quality, we selected one of our "Square Mile Originals", Puente Tarrazú, as your next Decaf. You might recognise the name from the current iteration of Red Brick. A deliciously classic cup filled with honeycomb sweetness, this is one to brew on repeat. Leading the way at the Puente Tarrazú Micromill are cousins Roldolfo and Mainor Rivera. Consistently fulfilling our forward contract with deliciously high-quality coffee, they exceed our expectations year after year. Known for their classic white honey processing, Puente Tarrazú's smooth texture and sweet notes of pear, honeycomb, and apricot make this a rewarding any-time-of-day brew.
