Answers to questions on shipping, delivery & more
GENERAL
TRANSPARENCY & SLAVERY
We strictly source coffee within a sustainable, impact-led and transparent supply chain. Working closely with our supply partners to ensure the traceability of our coffee supply, our transparency reports are available upon request. Our values are centred around respect for individuals and their human rights. Strictly sourcing within a transparent supply chain, we selectively work with partners and suppliers who share these values. Holding each other accountable to the highest ethical standards to operate ethically, compliantly, and professionally, we agree this is not only a requirement but a shared responsibility in our commitment to ethical business practices.
PACKAGING AND STORAGE
Our coffees are available for purchase in 350g or 1kg retail bags. Why 350g bags, you ask? Over the years, we’ve travelled extensively and, needless to say, bought a lot of coffee. Finding 250g too little to really get to know and familiarise yourself with a coffee, especially for espresso, we identified the 12oz size, common in the US, as our ideal ratio. Not too little, not too much. To keep the metric even, we rounded 341g up to 350g.
LETTERBOX-FRIENDLY PACKAGING
Single orders of 350g bags are shipped in letterbox-friendly packaging for your convenience. Royal Mail approved and designed to fit through a standard UK letterbox, these bags and boxes are fully recyclable. We recommend you decant your beans into an airtight container, like the Fellow Atmos Canister, for convenient storage once opened. Standard UK letterbox dimensions: L35.3cm x W25cm x D2.5cmÂ
RECYCLING
Except for our coffee labels, all our coffee packaging is recyclable. Our coffee bags are made from level 4 LDPE material, which is accepted in most curbside recycling services. Please check with your local authority. For your convenience, our labels are re-stickable, which means instead of it being single-use, you can remove them from the bag to stick on your hopper or airtight coffee container, or, our favourite thing to do, collect them in your Coffee Diary made from recycled single-use coffee cups.  Made from responsibly sourced and FSC-approved cardboard, our boxes are 100% recyclable.
ROAST-TO-SHIP SERVICE
Our coffee is dispatched within 24 hours of being roasted. The benefit of roast-to-ship is it offers consistency. When you know you are always going to receive your coffee as fresh off-roast as possible, you have more control over your preferred resting period, allowing you to enjoy your seasonal beans at their peak. Yes, coffee is a shelf-stable product and, when stored well, can last longer than expected; however, for the best results, we recommend you enjoy it within 3 months of its roast date and one month after opening your bag of beans.Â
KEEPING YOUR COFFEE FRESH
Once opened, store your beans and bag sealed in a cool, dark place. To keep your coffee fresher for longer, we recommend decanting your beans in an airtight container or freezing them.
WHOLE BEAN COFFEE
Once ground, coffee oxidises and loses its flavour quickly. The grind size also affects how your coffee extracts and, therefore, the flavour in your cup. To offer the best results, we only ship freshly roasted whole beans. You can read more about it in this blog post here, and should you want, head over to our equipment page to browse our grinders,Â

Shipping to Russia and the Middle East:
We offer tracked shipping to ensure the safe and timely arrival of your order. Please provide a P.O. Box delivery address to comply with strict customs and import regulations. For personal purchases, we recommend not shipping to business addresses, as they might cause customs delays.
