Established in 2008 by Anette Moldvaer and James Hoffmann, Square Mile is run by Felicity Whitehead. 

While our team has grown significantly since our founding year, bringing together people driven by creating remarkable coffee experiences, our unwavering commitment remains.

At our core, we are dedicated to delivering the utmost in coffee excellence, showcasing the brilliance of our partners and supply chains while fostering the growth of the global coffee community. Through meticulous roasting, sourcing, and consistent quality assurance, we go to great lengths to ensure that every one of our coffees reflects our commitment to excellence.

Our mission extends beyond this. It is also about deepening connections and the coffee community through initiatives like our Square Mile Events and Twelve Lessons in Coffee program. We aim to elevate the enjoyment of coffee everywhere.

We proudly serve cafes and businesses, and passionate home enthusiasts through our dedicated wholesale team and e-commerce platform, where you can also find our coffee subscription program.

Decidedly, we source coffee within a sustainable, impact-led and transparent supply chain. Generally speaking, our offering comprises single-origin micro-lots or combined lots from communities with traceability to the individual contributors. We work with trusted supply partners who run on-the-ground operations to collaborate with growers and producers while facilitating best farming practices and direct buying contracts. This allows us to know exactly where our coffee comes from.
