Silky sweet and bright, Cocatu is here to kick off 2025. From Tumba, Rwanda, this is the second year this filter has made its mark in our line up.

Produced by the Cocatu Producer Group, we’re thrilled to see this cooperative expand year after year and excitedly, the more than 30,000 seedlings planted in 2024 should be ready for harvest in 2026. Founded in 2007 by 20 farmers, it now comprises 260 smallholder farmers and their neighbours at Kinini Washing Station help them with quality training and financial teaching. Some in the cooperative are even using this advice to earn profits in a system they call ‘A Cocatu Microfinance’. Using their savings to loan to other farmers, they encourage cooperative work amongst them and provide agronomic assistance when needed.
