Tasting Notes

RED APPLE/ GOLDEN RAISIN/ SILKY

When brewing our decaf filter, we recommend a similar grind size as when brewing your preferred filter coffee method. We recommend a ratio of 70g of coffee / 1L of water, for example 35g of coffee for 500g of water. Adjust to personal preference.

If brewing using a percolation method like V60, we recommend agitating during the bloom phase followed by a low agitation of the bed for the rest of the brew.

Your next decaf on the menu is La Cidra from Lempira, Honduras. Plush, this cup is all about the silky texture ideal for daytime pour-over brews amped up when brewed with a French press to enjoy after dinner. La Cidra is produced by Renato Sánchez in partnership with Benjamin Paz of Beneficio San Vicente for dry milling and marketing. Known for creating stunning coffees with a long shelf life (particularly unusual for Central American coffees), it's no surprise that lots from BSV and partners frequently dominate in quality competitions, and here you can taste precisely why. Decaffeinated exclusively for Square Mile, we hope you're ready for your new favourite go-to brew.
