When brewing our Decaf Filter, we recommend a similar grind size as when brewing your preferred filter coffee method. We recommend a ratio of 70g of coffee / 1L of water, for example 35g of coffee for 500g of water. Adjust to personal preference.
If brewing using a percolation method like V60, we recommend agitating during the bloom phase followed by a low agitation of the bed for the rest of the brew.

About
ABOUT
A staple in our Costa Rica offering, let’s hear it for Altamira de Chirripó Decaf! Produced by the Altamira de Chirripó group, also known as the MICEPA Micromill, we’ve been purchasing this coffee since 2022.
Over the past year, MICEPA has implemented several significant improvements. These include the introduction of a moisture meter—which we helped them source and acquire during their visit to the UK—a new, larger warehouse equipped with a functional QC lab, and upgraded drying patios that are now covered, preventing any contact with concrete. Each of these changes has positively impacted coffee quality, which is clearly reflected in the cup.
Demonstrating the classic fruity, balanced flavours of baked apple, date and almond that Costa Rican coffees are renowned for, this coffee makes for the perfect Decaf.
