      We are excited to introduce Gitwe Hill from our import partners, Long Miles in Burundi. Known for producing exceptional community lots such as Heza Hills, Long Miles has ventured into building its own farm on the slopes of Gitwe Hill, just above its Heza Washing Station, and here is the very first taste of what is yet to come.

      In 2023, we showcased our first coffee from Long Miles and their Heza Hills Washing Station. Working with local communities located on the surrounding hills, Long Miles has a unique program called "Coffee Scouts." Like other agronomists & quality aid done by many of our export partners, the Coffee Scouts is tailored to the unique challenges of Burundi. A team of twenty-six young Burundians who live among the farmers to train and develop innovative solutions to fight the threat of potato defect, mitigate the effects of climate change on soil health and empower farmers with the tools they need to produce quality coffee.

      An exciting next step in Long Miles' expansion and commitment to the area and communities they work with, Gitwe Hill is more than just a delicious cup.
