50% Altamira de Chirripó Decaf / 50% Flor del Café
Our current Half Caff is all about Central America! A decaffeinated version of Altamira de Chirripó links up with Huehuetenango’s Flor del Café for a sweet-tart treat. Notes of candied orange and apple juice emerge over a baseline of sweetness.

About
ABOUT
Half Caff stays in Huehuetenango, Guatemala as Flor del Café meets Decaf EA Altamira de Chirripó from Costa Rica. This Central American duo brings us tart candy and cherry flavours over a smooth, delicate texture.
Though from the same part of the northern Huehuetenango region as former component Los Laureles, new constituent Flor del Café brings a slightly different set of flavours to the table. Bright acidity reminiscent of gooseberry meets a tropical base like creamy, perfectly ripe banana. Like other great coffees from “HueHue,” this one is bursting with complexity.
We’ve found this to be a particularly good harvest from MICEPA Micromill, producers of the Altamira de Chirripó lot that we decaffeinated here with the Ethyl Acetate process. Dried fruit notes, creamy texture, and a lingering finish will have you coming back for more. This Half Caff iteration takes that sweetness and livens it with bright tangerine-like zip.
