A favourite in our Huila line up, La Estrella del Ostro from Colombia is back to bring joy to your brews.
Summing up the smooth, easy drinking profile associated with the region, its warming notes of baked apple, praline and sultana demonstrate its delicious and reliable quality. It also continues to capture the nostalgia of Colombian coffee production. With farms typically averaging 1.5 hectares, many producers focus on growing the Caturra variety.
Managing their own pulping and fermentation, the processed cherries are dried on patios or raised beds usually built on the roof of their houses. After the coffee reaches export level humidity, lots are paired by the cupping exports at our partner Caravela’s buying centre before being dry milled and prepared for export.
