About
ABOUT
Sweet and colourful with forest fruits, orange and a fudge finish, Musumba adds a vibrant quality to your filter brew.
Produced in the agricultural community of Musumba in the Muramvya Province, Burundi, the area is abundant with nature and prize crops. Farming families grow crops such as cassava, sweet potato, maize and bananas in the hill’s nourishing soil, while the banana trees create canopies making an ideal climate for coffee to grow. According to our exporter ‘Long Miles’, Musumba Hills was left almost untouched by conflict, unlike many other regions in Burundi. In fact, ‘it was a peaceful island in the midst of cyclical violence and destruction. Despite this, Musumba has been our greatest challenge, with many old coffee trees and run-down farms. Yet, it’s a hill we won’t give up on because it holds so much potential.’
A coffee filled with history, dedication and endurance, we can’t wait for you to experience the delight that is Musumba.
