Our latest version of Choc-Ice keeps one part Altamira de Chirripó from Costa Rica and matches it with newcomer Las Nubes from El Salvador. Maintaining the original’s rich mouthfeel, this summer staple sings as cold brew or as an espresso base for iced lattes, affogatos, and more.
We love Salvadoran coffees for their signature texture, which Las Nubes from the Lima family of producers definitely delivers! After several harvests of seeking to add this coffee to our selection, farmer Ernesto Lima’s classic washed profile contributes flavours like vanilla bean and chocolate mousse to Choc-Ice.
Las Nubes’ fudgey depth pairs perfectly with stalwart Altamira de Chirripó, from MICEPA Micromill in Costa Rica. One of our favourite seasonal coffees from the extended Ureña, Bourbon, and Araya families, it contributes a sweet, creamy hazelnut base that keeps us coming back for more.
