When brewing our Decaf Filter, we recommend a similar grind size as when brewing your preferred filter coffee method. We recommend a ratio of 70g of coffee / 1L of water, for example 35g of coffee for 500g of water. Adjust to personal preference.
If brewing using a percolation method like V60, we recommend agitating during the bloom phase followed by a low agitation of the bed for the rest of the brew.

ABOUT
Sweet and creamy, Aequitas Decaf from Minas Gerais, Brazil, will make your heart sing! All about the texture - if it's moreish you are after, it's moreish you'll get!
Back with a tasty bang, Aequitas Decaf, the naturally processed coffee produced by Yuki Minami in Minas Gerais, is back for its fourth feature. Also exciting because back in September, Minami Agricola, Yuki's family business and the third-generation farmers behind this lot, celebrated its 50th anniversary!
Every year, we collaborate closely with Yuki on selecting coffee with the EA decaf process in mind. This method effectively removes caffeine before redrying the beans using water and ethyl acetate, a fruit ester found in bananas. As a result, the coffee has a pronounced sweetness and a more textured mouthfeel.
What's more, is that Yuki exemplifies a new generation of Brazilian producers who combine careful mechanical picking with soil restoration and high cup quality. Offering mellow fruit notes and a rich texture typical of Brazilian naturals, Aequitas makes it easy to forget you're drinking decaf. The perfect all-rounder, it's the perfect cup to unwind with.
